Luda red

In between Eljaröd and Christinehof Castle you pass the small village of Ludaröd.
Here, horses are very much the order of the day. Western Valley and Hallamölla Farm are two active facilities that offer experiences around and on horseback. Western Valley offers western riding, trail riding and various activities for the whole family.

Hallamölla Farm also has a lot of horses on its programme, but also focuses on adventure experiences in the exciting terrain where the Verkeån river plays a crucial role. Hallamölla is home to Skåne's highest waterfall. Here you can see common terns, kingfishers and white-tailed deer.

Quiet, peaceful Ludaröd has old buildings, quite small houses, but also smaller farms. Today, several craftsmen and artists live here, which attracts many visitors, not least around Easter when it is time for the traditional art tour in eastern Skåne.

The nature is distinctive. There are open pastures, forest slopes with both deciduous and coniferous forest, hills and valleys particularly suitable for hiking. The alum mill is close by, as is Christinehof Castle and in the other direction along the Verkeån river is Eljaröd with a popular outdoor swimming pool.

I Eljaröd there is also childcare in the Eljen parents' co-operative. For those who want to swim in the sea, you can reach Haväng by car under fifteen minutes. Bus connections are available in Eljaröd a few kilometres to the east. The nearest larger town with services, schools etc. is Brösarp seven kilometres to the north-east.
