May we present the Swedish Academy of Realist Art (SARA)

There are many options when you want to study art and we offer a programme that is not available at Konstfack or the Royal Institute of Art and is a complement to these universities.

At SARA, students learn to draw and paint in order to reproduce objects, nature and people as they appear in reality. Realistic art, in short.

So why should you be able to do that? Maybe because you simply have a love for this type of art and want to work as an artist. Or maybe you want to establish yourself in the gaming or film industry, work on sets, become the best tattoo artist, do concept art... Either way, this is an art form that is increasingly in demand.

All of our 35 places are CSN-eligible and we have students from all over the world. The programme is therefore taught in English.

We also offer summer courses and every Thursday evening during term time we have open kroki for those who wish.

Our small school has a wonderful, family atmosphere and is located in one of Sweden's most beautiful areas, namely in the heart of Österlen. In the centre of Simrishamn.
