Skillinge Teater now opens for the summer's artistic program, which this year looks completely different from what the theater's many visitors are used to. This year, the artistic management starts with a digitized stage design, each designed with international overtones.
During the summer, four works will be shown that all push the boundaries of traditional performative art. During the midsummer weekend, three installations will be premiered, all mixing digital technology with humor, playfulness but also with deepest seriousness. On June 8, they will premiere the international guest performance Lady Macbeth.
- We have chosen to work with new digital tools for artistic expression, all of which derive pleasure and power from performative design and cross-genre creativity," says Karin Johansson-Mex, one of Skillinge Theater's two artistic directors.
- We push the boundaries of our own artistic creation and challenge both ourselves and our visitors," continues Nils Peder Holm, the other director of the theater.
Café & Restaurant
Our restaurant is located next to the theater. The restaurant is located in newly renovated premises on two floors with a ceiling height of 8 meters.
Our courtyard is a lush oasis full of flowers and hollyhocks. The patio can accommodate 100 people and the theater restaurant itself can accommodate up to 150 seated guests.
