Welcome to an inspirational day where we explore common wild plants and trees that you can easily use in cooking and boost your health.
Course leader and herbalist Milla is constantly inspired by everything nature has to offer. Her passion is to deepen, strengthen and inspire a more sustainable and meaningful way of living in harmony with ourselves, each other and nature. Becoming aware of how we can increase our contact with nature, strengthen our health and make use of nature's resources - is an important part of the transition we are in, she believes.
Through this inspirational day, she wants to contribute to increased knowledge, joy of discovery and that small steps can also bring big change! She opens the front door to nature's pantry and welcomes you into the living green.
Approach: The day starts with a refreshing early summer coffee and introduction. Then, by walking out into the greenery of Ecotopia, you will be guided to get to know a variety of edible wild plants and trees. We go through the plants from a culinary, historical and medical perspective and get samples of food dishes from the different plants. After the hike, you are invited to a vegan lunch, based on most of the plants we meet during the day. Here you can be inspired, get recipes and tips on different ways to take advantage of the wild plants' possibilities in the kitchen and how you can continue at home.
The afternoon includes a workshop where you get practical tips on optimal ways to make and use your own herbal oils for body care and massage. During this inspirational day, you will get plenty of tips on harvesting, preservation and storage as well as the opportunity to taste the plants, take notes, photos and ask questions. You will be able to fill both your sense of taste and your knowledge pantry with exciting and well-known wild plants and trees and become confident in how to proceed on your own. You will have a whole new set of eyes on your future nature walks!
