Ullstorp

The small church village of Ullstorp is located one kilometre southeast of Tomelilla on the road to Bollerup. There is a collection of farms and houses near the church, including a popular farm hotel. The address of Tomelilla Golf Club's fine 18-hole course and the golf hotel Greensleep is also Ullstorp.

The oldest parts of the church date back to the 1100s. In 1890 the church underwent an extensive rebuilding. The church is located on the edge of the beautiful valley where the river Örupsån flows. In the northern part of the valley there are large pastures with hawthorn thickets, blackthorn and hazel. Here you can find the rare field nock, a rather inconspicuous yellow hawkweed that is only found in a couple of places in the country. More common are cowslips, almond blossoms and orchids. On the south side of the Örupsån river, it is much more humid with rich fens and calcareous wet meadows with distinctive flora, orchids and sedges.

Down in the valley is the old Ullstorp vicarage, where the well-known vicar Curt Wallin, who among other things made outstanding research efforts about the Middle Ages in Österlen, lived.
The small collection of villas just east of the entrance to Tomelilla from Simrishamn is also called Ullstorp. Here you will find Ullstorp's Garden Center, Tomelilla Flygklubb's Tomelilla Airport and a go-cart track.

The distance from "the two Ullstorps" to the central town of Tomelilla is less than a kilometre. From the travel centre you can take the bus to Simrishamn, Ystad, Kristianstad and Lund. Pågatåg operates the line Simrishamn–Ystad via Tomelilla about 12 times a day in each direction.
