In Tryde, which can be reached via the turnoff on Highway 11 or on the exit north of Svampakorset on Route 19, there are active village associations, which through several annual activities strengthen the village community.
In the village there is a popular Nostalgia Café that shows lots of 50's stuff, cars, shop fittings, etc. There is also Galleri Tryde 1303, a homely Bed & Breakfast with a view of the plains of Skåne. In the café you can enjoy coffee in front of the fireplace in the dining room or in the garden when the weather permits. Tryde is also home to the Tingvalla amusement park, which attracts lots of dancers from all over Skåne all year round.
Tryde has an independent school. It was created on the initiative of parents in 2003 when the municipality planned to close the school in Tryde. There is a gas station, white goods store and from here you can cycle a trolley to Fyledalen. Also close by is Tosselilla and Svampabanan, where the motor club several times a year organizes major motor races, often with SM, European and World Championship status.
Full service is offered with schools, shops, municipal services, retirement homes, pharmacies, liquor stores, etc. in the central town of Tomelilla, one kilometer to the southeast.
