Stenshuvud National Park

Stenshuvud National Park offers a lush hornbeam forest, magical alpine swamp forest, dry moors, flowering meadows, a sandy beach and panoramic views of Hanö Bay.

Naturum Stenshuvud is the central visitor center where you can explore an exhibition about the national park, meet knowledgeable staff, participate in guided tours, read a book in our reading corner and during the summer enjoy a cup of coffee.

Plan your visit to the park by discovering what happens in different seasons.

Spring: In mid-April, white flowers bloom, turning the forest white. Wood anemones adorn the meadows, with birds chirping in the air. The nightingale sings from mid-May to midsummer, and orchids paint the wet meadow purple.

Summer: Highest visitor pressure. The dry meadows are in bloom, and cows graze freely in large parts of the national park.

Autumn: The forest shines in autumn colors. The squirrel gathers hazelnuts, and the apples ripen in the old orchards.

Winter: The forest reveals its structure, and the old oaks and beeches stand out in the thinner hornbeam forest. Animal tracks are clearly visible in the snow - hare, fox and badger. Occasional moose may also cross your path.
