Gösta Werner Museum

The Gösta Werner Museum in Simrishamn is hosting three exhibitions during Easter:

Torsten Erasmie (1950 - 2018) lived and worked in Vik on the coast of Österlen. With light as a driving force, his work came to describe the landscapes of his beloved Brittany, Lombardy and Österlen. Represented at Malmö Museum and Nordvorpommern Museum, among others.

Roland Thysell (born 1946), photographic artist. The museum shows an exciting selection that can be described as a journey in time from the mid-60s onwards: The lighthouse keeper at Smygehuk, Eel darkness, Sin at Kivik market when it was "at its worst" and rodeo in Cheyenne.
Gösta Werner (1909 - 1989) was at sea for 13 years, became a sea captain then also a captain's rank in the air force. Studied art with Isaac Grünewald and then in Paris.

The museum now offers for sale works from Roland Thysell's studio, covering all his eras from abstract to concretionist, meteorological to marine. Represented at Nationalmuseum, Moderna Museet and seventeen embassies.

Opening hours during Konstrundan: Good Friday - Sunday April 7 13.00 - 17.00.
