Vranarp

Vranarp is located on highway 9 just west of Järrestad, a stone's throw southeast of Tommarp. The surroundings are agricultural land with the slope down to Tommarpsån in the north. A memorial stone has been erected by the road a few meters west of the village.

Holger Skräddare's cottage once stood on this small triangular piece of land, and the Österlen writer Henrik Wranér was born here. On the other side of Tommarpsån is the interesting Ullspinneriet, the Hernedahl family continues to keep the premises and the fantastic garden open for visitors in the summer.

In addition to the large farms, one of which is a farm shop, there are a couple of smaller single-family houses in Vranarp. One of the farms houses a gallery. Just outside the village is the acclaimed Vilhelmsdal farm dairy where, among other things, good goat cheese is produced. There is a bus to the west and east in the village.

The nearest town with services such as schools, hospitals, pharmacies, retirement homes, shops and municipal services is Simrishamn, four kilometers to the east. Gärsnäs and Hammenhög both offer good services and are less than half a mile away.
