In the sharp turn in Simris The southern entrance is the turn-off to Viarp, a village consisting of a number of farms and small houses. The surroundings are hilly farmland. In the central part of the village, the farms and houses are located around a square-like open space.
There is a popular dog and cat boarding centre. The nearest larger town with services is Simrishamn with schools, bus and train travel centres, hospitals, banks, municipal services, shops, etc. The distance is about three kilometres.
From the neighbouring village Simris there is a sheltered footpath and cycle path to, among other places, Simrislundsskolan. The slopes in the north lead down to the winding valley of Tommarpsån.
