Beautiful nature and proximity to the sea. Two kilometres north of Simrishamn, west of motorway 9, is Tobisborg. The villa area borders to the north on a holiday home area with many summer houses. Tobisborgsgården is located right down by Tommarpsån. At Tobisborgsgården there is a turn-off to the east to the campsite and Tobisviksbadet.
Vårhallen is a mighty sandstone formation that attracts many bathers and nature lovers. The beach north of Vårhallen is partly a dog bathing beach. It is dominated by pastures with shrubbery where, among other things, stone curlews nest. West of Tobisborg is the Bäckhalladalen hiking area, a nature reserve that geologists in particular are very interested in. Here you will find sub-Cambrian sandstone with beautiful ripple marks, funnel sinks, ice grooves and, not least, parabolic cracks.
There are plenty of water mirrors. Tree frogs thrive here and there is also one of Europe's densest populations of dormice. In Bäckhalladalen there are exercise trails and barbecue areas in several places, which means that the area is very popular. There is a bus service in the village.
