Gladsax, an idyllic place set high in the rolling agricultural landscape. The houses and farms in the village are clustered on both sides of the winding, narrow village street. Here and there, hollyhocks hang out in the carriageway.
Gladsax is situated in an elevated position and surrounded by an open, hilly landscape. A place of peace and quiet with the city's services and the sea within easy reach. The village is a protected cultural monument and the oldest parts of the church date from the 12th century.
Gladsax Hallar and Bäckhalladalen are Natura 2000 areas and largely nature reserves. Many people consider Bäckhalladalen to be one of Skåne's finest outdoor areas, where you can find tree larks, shrikes, bell frogs, dormice and cuckoo clocks. Listening to the nightingale is a treat for the soul.
Bus through the village towards Simrishamn and Vitaby are available. It is less than half a mile to all services in Simrishamn.
