South Björstorp

A stone's throw south of Brösarp there is a turn-off from national road 19 towards Södra Björstorp, which is actually a village with two faces, the newer holiday village and the old agricultural landscape with the unique octagonal farm Södra Björstorp's manor.

The name suggests that it is a place where a man called Björn built something new, and finds indicate that people have lived here since the Viking Age. The fossilised agriculture with cairns and terraced fields is unique. Both Danish and Swedish nobility have lived on the manor. The current farm was built with inspiration from e.g. Amalienborg in Copenhagen in 1771-1775 and is very well preserved. In a grey stone barn that once functioned as one of the country's first professional henhouses, exhibitions of art and crafts are arranged that attract many visitors.

The surrounding terrain is hilly with substantial elements of both deciduous and coniferous forest. The leisure village of Brunsvik has an active orienteering club etc. Andrarum its clubhouse.
The distance to Brösarp with services such as schools, retirement homes, bus connections, health centres, inn, pharmacies, shops, etc. is less than one kilometre. To Simrishamn and Tomelilla can be reached by car in just over 15 minutes.
