A quiet and prosperous residential neighbourhood close to services and the sea. Simrislund is a quiet and green residential neighbourhood surrounded by meadows and land. Parts of the area are on rocks and the beach here is rocky. The meadows have always been used for grazing.
Closest to the sea is the old part of Simrislund, and on the other side of Branteviksvägen are villas built mainly in the 1960s and 1970s. Many of the houses in Simrislund have magnificent sea views.
Simrislund has childcare, primary school and elderly care. The distance to Simrishamn is less than one kilometre. Pågat trains depart from the station every hour in both directions Simrishamn-Malmö.
Buses to Lund and Kristianstad and local buses also leave from the station. At the Bruket residential area, just south of the railway, there is a builders' merchant and craft businesses. There are grocery stores in the centre. The city bus stops a short walk from Vetegatan. A scenic cycle and footpath along the sea is also within a short walking distance between Simrishamn and Brantevik with continuation to the south.
