Tryde, which can be reached via the turn-off on national road 11 or the turn-off north of Svampakorset on road 19, has an active village association, which strengthens the village community through several annual activities.
There's a popular Nostalgia Café in the village that showcases lots of 50s gadgets, cars, shop fittings and more. There is also Gallery Tryde 1303, a cosy Bed & Breakfast with views of the Scanian plains. In the café you can enjoy coffee in front of the fire in the dining room or in the garden when the weather permits. Tryde is also home to the Tingvalla entertainment centre, which attracts lots of dance fans from all over Skåne all year round.
Tryde has an independent school. It was set up on the initiative of parents when the municipality planned to close the school in Tryde in 2003. There is a petrol station, a white goods shop and from here you can cycle to Fyledalen. Tosselilla and Svampabanan are also close by, where the motor club organises major motorcycle competitions several times a year, often with SM, EM and VM status.
Full services are offered with schools, shops, municipal services, nursing homes, pharmacies, health insurance companies, etc. in the centre Tomelilla, one kilometre to the south-east.
