Lilla Kvarnby is a neighbouring village to a slightly larger one Ö. Hoby just over three kilometres east of Borrby and three kilometres west of Skillinge.
In Kvarnby old distillery there is a gallery, neighbouring the rose paradise, Roskraft, a facility that attracts rose enthusiasts from far and wide. There are a number of large farms in the village, including a large horse farm.
It is thus cycling distance to the larger towns that offer increased services. I Borrby there is a school and a shop. There are also bus connections from both towns. On the way to Skillinge the bed and breakfast is located Eastern farm and the ever-growing Österlen asparagus, which provides foodies with the springtime favourite straight from the fields.
