About halfway between St Olof and Smedstorp at the height of Järnkällan, a sign points to Månstorp, a scattered collection of small farms along a winding gravel road that ends at Listarum.
Several of the farms are parcelled out and function as horse farms or part-time accommodation. The surroundings are characterised by their location on the border between plain and country. There are flat, gentle fields and cultivated pastures, groves and small fields. Many streams flow towards the nearby, calcareous Gyllebosjön lake. It is terrain that attracts many hikers both in the ridge landscape at Listarum as in the forest landscape around Lake Gyllebo.
Tunbyholmssjön with its beautiful 17th century castle is a popular fishing lake, where Svenska Ord filmed parts of the film Den enfaldige mördaren.
The nearest major town offering schools and other community services is Onslunda one mile to the west and Gärsnäs half a mile to the south-east. Månslunda is one and a half miles from Tomelilla and equally far from Simrishamn.
