Where road 19 from Kristianstad splits in two, road nine towards Simrishamn and road 19 towards Ystad via Tomelilla, is Brösarp. Brösarp's location on the southernmost spur of Linderödsåsen has always been important and given the village its character. The guest house has been safely ensconced in the village for 325 years and is constantly expanding. Gästis is one of several centres in the lively village with its many beautiful, well-tended gardens.
The level of services is high, with a health centre, dentist, pharmacy, inn, spa, pizzeria, café, sports ground, grocery store, butcher's and other speciality shops, carpentry, art gallery, cultural centre, galleries, retirement home, F-6 school and petrol station. Association life in the village is broad. Brösarps IF, with the beautifully situated Utsikten sports ground, is successful in football for both boys and girls, and the summer house village of Brunsvik is home to Andrarums IF, the mecca of the Österlen orientated.
