Welcome to a unique café where historical charm meets modern enjoyment. Here you step in among lace tablecloths and the smell of freshly baked bread from the bakery, just like when the coffee house opened in 1956.

The highlight is their fantastic cake buffet - great that you can eat as many cakes as you want! With eight varieties, all baked from scratch with flour from Sweden's oldest mill, there's something for everyone.

In addition to the cakes, you can enjoy a creamy cappuccino, hand-peeled prawn sandwiches and yummy sourdough pizzas. The café is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 4pm and daily from 15 June to 25 August. Come and experience a coffee break like no other in this charming oasis!

Welcome to Crêperie & Café Madame Blå - an oasis in the centre of Skåne Tranås. Here you will also experience an atmosphere that takes you directly to the cosy cafes of Paris.

The menu includes everything from popular galettes to a wide range of pastries. Both food and coffee are made from scratch with ingredients that reach quality, and are permeated by French tones.

It offers a scenic environment, as well as a wonderful flavour experience for the whole family. Every day between 11-21.

5. Avenue in Österlen

During the splendour of summer days, Allé on Österlen tempts you with a well-prepared lunch or a simple coffee break in a charming atmosphere. In the shade of the hanging willow, you can enjoy delicious dishes but also pick up a picnic basket for the beach. Take a seat in their splendid garden with a cup of coffee.

Byvägen 35 serves sourdough bread, freshly baked buns and cakes with a focus on traditional craftsmanship and natural flavours.

The lunch menu varies from vegan options to classic dishes like Wallenbergare and focaccia. On Sundays, sourdough pizza is offered in various flavours.

In summer, you can enjoy your coffee outside, while on cooler days you can relax inside in a cosy, candlelit atmosphere.

9. Alunbruket coffee shop

Discover Alunbruket Kaffestuga and B&B, Skåne's oldest coffee house.

Located in a listed mill village, surrounded by the Verkeån nature reserve, this place not only offers a wonderful coffee break but also a fantastic setting.

Here, pride is taken in the traditional cake platter with recipes from Hilda's time, combined with new flavours.

Welcome to Café 1926 at Hylkegården, where tradition meets taste in an atmosphere of cosiness.

Enjoy tasty coffee and homemade bread in front of the fireplace or on summer days in their lush garden overlooking the Bornholm Strait.

The menu includes coffee, tea, pastries, cakes, pies, luxury prawn sandwiches, pavlova, scones with homemade jam and much more, all depending on seasonal availability. Hylkegården endeavours to always offer freshly baked bread from the farm and locally produced, organic ingredients as far as possible.

11. Olaols Gelato Österlen

For those who love ice cream, OlaOls Gelato is a must. Here they make handmade Italian gelato with carefully selected ingredients from the region. With the milk sourced from the neighbour and pasteurised on site, they ensure unparalleled quality in every scoop.

In addition to ice cream, Olaol's Gelato Österlen also offers waffles with savoury scrambles or traditional cream, jam and gelato. For those who want something hot, there is coffee and tea, and for those who prefer something cold, there is a selection of refreshments.

12. Lönebostället in Gladsax

Welcome to Lönebostället in Gladsax, a place where the coffee break becomes a pure pleasure. Here, visitors can enjoy a lovely cup of coffee along with homemade coffee bread either at the cosy outdoor seating or inside the secluded corner of the shop.

And for those who prefer vegetarian, there is always an alternative available. For those looking for something a little different, there's also Janne's home-brewed beer, which is a favourite among many visitors.

Welcome to the charming chocolate café and shop, a haven for chocolate lovers.

Here, visitors can enjoy a variety of chocolate drinks and snacks both indoors and in the garden. For an extra special experience, chocolate tasting sessions are available for the whole family. Don't forget to take home something delicious from the shop.

14. 1303 Tryde

Café Tryde 1303 is a place where you don't have to choose just one option.

They offer three small sandwiches instead of one large one, Österlentapas with local delicacies, and Tryde's cake platter with at least seven kinds of cakes. Don't miss the chocolate ball raffle!

In the evenings you can enjoy wood-fired pizza. They use Scanian, organic ingredients and offer many vegetarian, gluten and dairy-free options.

15. Flavour mill

In Tomelilla, in an old grocery store from the 60s, is Smakbruket - a lovely delicatessen on the square with a cosy café.

Visitors can enjoy well-made sandwiches with various toppings, as well as delicious cardamom and cinnamon buns with their coffee. The cakes at the stand are also hard to resist.

With a focus on local produce, complemented by delicacies from Italy and France, the café is the perfect place for coffee lovers.

16. Reunion Farm

At Café Blå Elefanten at Reuniongården, visitors can enjoy tasty sandwiches and delicious pastries. Sit inside by one of the fires or outside in the sun.

The café's classic shrimp sandwich with salad, rye bread, hand-peeled shrimp, eggs, olives and mayonnaise is always a favourite. During the summer, soft ice cream and waffles are also available.

17. Kivik Café & Bakery

Kiviks Café and Bakery, started by Gun and her daughter Martina in 2000, offers freshly baked goods seven days a week. Bread, breakfast buns, cakes and tarts are baked from scratch with selected ingredients.

The café serves a daily breakfast buffet and light lunches such as ciabatta, baked potatoes, pies and soups, with a pea soup buffet on Thursdays. They can cater for larger groups and have a range of options to suit allergy sufferers. Visitors can enjoy the food both inside and outside.

18. Olof Viktors

Olof Viktor's shop and café offers more than just coffee - they deliver a flavour experience every day, all year round. Here you can enjoy delicacies such as mini princesses, buttery croissants, seven kinds of cakes and magical sandwiches. Their carrot cake is said to be the best in the country, thanks to its smooth frosting and delicious ingredients, as well as being big enough to share.

The shop sells a wide range of breads, rolls, crispbreads and pastries. It also sells artisanal products such as marmalade, juices, crusts and sourdough starters, as well as books by Jan Hedh.

19th French Creperie

Franskans in Rörum offers rustic country romance in Österlen. Galettes and crêpes are served with care and quality, both sweet and savoury. All galettes are gluten and lactose free, and there are vegetarian and vegan options. Local ingredients are used as much as possible.

The restaurant has a small kitchen and each galette is handmade, so guests are encouraged to take their time and enjoy the beautiful space and surroundings.

20. Fjällans Butik and Café

Welcome to Fjällans Café, located in Ramsåsa, in Österlen.

Formerly the home of a farmhand, the café still exudes a sense of rustic charm and authenticity. Visitors can choose between sitting inside and enjoying the cosy atmosphere or taking a seat outside and being embraced by the beautiful landscape that surrounds Ramsåsa.

21. Old Bakery

Visit Gamla Bageriet in the heart of Österlen, Borrby, where you can enjoy fresh bread, buns and cakes or sit down for a nice coffee break.

Coffee is served from the historic Lilla Kafferosteriet in Malmö, and for the thirsty there is a wide range of locally produced drinks such as must and soft drinks.

The bakery has generous opening hours at weekends all year round, and during the summer you can enjoy even longer opening hours to satisfy your cravings for freshly baked bread and sweets.

Coffee + Bulle = Fika The coffee beans are roasted by Gringo. The buns are baked in the small farm bakery. We boil our own juice and combine pastries with ice cream from our ice cream parlour Frusen Glädje. Can a cup of hot chocolate be worth a detour? A few years ago we visited La Vina in San Sebastian, where we found inspiration for a Burnt Basque Cheesecake that is now always on the menu.
