1. Vyn Restaurant

Vyn, Daniel Berlin's newly opened restaurant, has recently been awarded two stars in the Michelin Guide, cementing its reputation as one of the region's premier fine dining experiences. The restaurant strives to create a memorable experience with seasonal food from Scanian and Scandinavian roots, as well as the local flora and fauna. Guests can expect a calm and contemplative atmosphere in beautiful surroundings, both before, during and after the meal.

Vyn's tasting menu costs SEK 3,500 per guest. Drink matching is also available, both non-alcoholic and alcoholic.

For a more relaxed experience, the Vyn Food and Wine Bar serves seasonal light meals and breakfast to hotel guests. The bar is open daily from 16:00 to 20:00. While most tables are kept for drop-in guests, some are available for reservations.

2. Bobergs at the harbour

Bobergs at Hamngården in Brantevik has been awarded "very good class" by White Guide. Here, guests are greeted by food, drink and service of the highest quality. Whether the visit involves a glass of wine by the fire, a night or two in the cosy hotel rooms, or a culinary journey through a tasting menu, the goal is that every guest will be taken care of in the best way.

The restaurant offers exciting dishes of a smaller size, where guests can compose their own 4-course menu from the à la carte menu or enjoy the tasting menu "Emil's Taste Journey", created by Chef Emil Andersson.

3. Talldungen Gårdshotell

Located in an idyllic spot, Talldungen has been rated "very good class" by the White Guide. Their simple and rustic food, inspired by southern Europe and prepared with local ingredients, is at the heart of the experience.

The restaurant offers its signature "Stove Menu" for 700 SEK per person, with four carefully selected dishes that celebrate the best seasonal ingredients.

4. Örum 119

Örum 119, which has been rated "good class" by the White Guide, celebrates a simple philosophy that has characterised the restaurant since the first pizza was baked in the wood-fired oven. The focus is clearly on ingredients, using ingredients from Österlen and small food producers in Italy. The dough for the pizzas is carefully prepared with a spring wheat flour from Lilla Harrie Valskvarn, sourdough and a little yeast to give a flavourful and airy texture. The wood-fired oven, which is not very large, means that tables should be booked in advance for those who want to experience their characteristic "leoparding" - flaky and flavoursome pizzas.

5. Kiviks Hotel Conference & Spa

Kiviks Hotell, recognised with a "good class" rating by the White Guide, invites guests to a gastronomic experience with Scanian delicacies and a fantastic sea view. The restaurant prioritises locally sourced ingredients, meaning the food comes straight from the neighbourhood - lamb, fish, goose, game, asparagus, apples and more, depending on the season.

The kitchen at Kiviks Hotell combines local flavours with international inspiration, with the ambition to maintain high quality in both food and service. In summer, the terrace is a popular choice for dining, with the option to start the evening with an aperitif in the bar or in the beautiful Italian neo-renaissance garden, and finish with a whisky or cognac.

To ensure a seat in the restaurant during your stay, it is recommended to pre-book a table via [email protected] or telephone 0414-700 75.

6. carnelian grove

Karnelund, which has been honoured with a "good class" rating by the White Guide, welcomes guests to a unique dining experience with two three-course menus to choose from. These menus can be customised to guests' own preferences or included in a room package with a pre-booked menu. For those who prefer a buffet breakfast only, bookings can also be made via their online booking system.

The menus at Karnelund offer a variety of flavours and ingredients such as halibut ceviche, wild-caught char fillet, smoked salmon and crispy duck from Söderslätt. Dessert options include chocolate mousse with nectarine and rhubarb with strawberries and yoghurt sorbet. For those who wish, a vegetarian menu is also available.

Wine lovers can choose a suitable wine package to accompany their meal, with non-alcoholic drink options. Karnelund also welcomes children under 12 with half portions from the menu. To secure a seat, table reservations are recommended via their booking page or by direct contact by phone.

7. the pasta factory

Pastafabriken, recognised as "good class" by the White Guide, is located in perhaps the nicest and smallest factory in Northern Europe, where they knead doughs from Swedish cultural grains. With a passion for flour from Swedish grains, they have expanded from their bakery in Ystad and a pizza parlour in Malmö Saluhall to include fresh pasta in their range.

At the Pasta Factory in Ingelstorp, both dried pasta that reaches store shelves and fresh pasta sold in their deli or used at Il Ristorante are created. The restaurant, literally "Il Ristorante", offers an authentic Italian dining experience where the pasta from the factory is transformed into tasty meals. The menu at Il Ristorante is inspired by local ingredients and varies with the season, with the possibility to adapt dishes for gluten-free and vegan dietary preferences - please advise when booking a table.

8. Skillinge Hamnkrog by Two Tractors

Skillinge Hamnkrog, recommended by White Guide, is run by Två Traktörer and is a place where food is about experiencing. Here you explore sour, salty, bitter, sweet and umami in different combinations and presentations. Sometimes you seek simple and familiar flavours, other times more challenging gastronomic adventures.

The restaurant welcomes both spontaneous visits and pre-booked tables, with a focus on creating memorable experiences. Skillinge Hamnkrog combines a confident and down-to-earth elegance that has charmed locals and visitors alike. The proximity of the sea and the beauty of the surroundings are an integral part of the dining experience, where each ingredient and drink is carefully selected to enhance the flavour experience.

Skillinge Hamnkrog is not only a household name, but also a symbol of Skillinge, according to the locals. It cherishes its historical heritage while constantly striving to make its own mark. Whether you're passing by or planning ahead, Skillinge Hamnkrog promises to do everything to make your experience the best possible.

Gårdens vedugn

9. The farm's wood-burning stove

Recommended by the White Guide, Gårdens is located in the centre of Simrishamn, just a short walk from the Baltic coast. This Mediterranean oasis beckons with wood-fired pizza and an atmosphere scented with sunny lavender and Greek Madonna lilies. Visitors can enjoy the shade under the wisteria pergola, savour sun-warmed peaches by the warm brick facade and listen to the murmur of the Andalusian fountain.

The courtyard is not only a restaurant but also an inspiring place to get ideas for your own garden while enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine on the piazza. The two well-stocked shops offer southern plants, furnishings, ceramics, tiles, mosaic tables and terracotta pots - everything Mediterranean. In the bistro you can order wood-fired pizzas or classic Italian pasta dishes, while the Farm's Bed and Breakfast offers a relaxing night in cool sheets after a day of sun and flavours.

10. Friden Gårdskrog

Friden Gårdskrog, recommended by the White Guide, is an idyllic place located in the middle of Österlen at an old apple farm. Here visitors can enjoy incomparable pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven, focusing on the best ingredients that are organic and locally produced as far as possible. For almost fifteen years, Friden has specialised in authentic, handmade pizza - long before the popularity of the wood-fired oven.

At Friden, cooking is an art that takes its time. Here, everything is made from scratch with our own sourdough-based dough, which is baked by hand and cooked over the fire. The raw materials are carefully handled and many are cooked directly on site. The atmosphere is relaxed and genuine, where the meal is an experience to enjoy without stress.

In addition to a wide range of beers and its own house wine, Friden also serves its own apple must from the farm's apples and a unique apple spirit. Enjoying a meal by an open fire, where the road ends and the apple trees begin, is a treat for all who visit. Located about 3 km outside Kivik, the directions take you through beautiful Österlen countryside to this peaceful spot at the end of the road. It is recommended to book a table in advance, and please note that no dogs are allowed on site.
