Siri Derkert and Theresa Traore Dahlberg show the exhibition The mustard tree and the birds of the air.
Despite almost a hundred years between their births, Siri Derkert, one of the true pioneers of the 20th century, resonates directly with the work of Theresa Traore Dahlberg. In this exhibition, Derkert's concrete works have inspired Traore Dahlberg to create entirely new glass works. Floating freely in the air, the delicate glass meets the heavy concrete. Both artists experiment with a range of materials, which will also be on display at this summer's exhibition. In addition to glass and concrete works, Derkert's works of strip iron, carvings in sheet metal and Traore Dahlberg's sculptures will also be on display.
