STF Brantevik Råkulle Hostel is located in the fishing village of Brantevik, which is a gem on the long coast of Österlen with picturesque gardens and carefully whitewashed houses built by farmers, fishermen and sea captains.
You stay in a genuine Scanian farm that dates back to the 18th century and has been in the same family for 13 generations. The hostel, which has 15 rooms with a total of 34 beds, is modernly furnished in one of the farm's barns. Here you sleep well in cosily furnished rooms with 1-4 beds where all our twin rooms have comfortable single beds with spring mattresses. Unfortunately, we are not able to welcome pets. Toilets and showers are located in the corridor close to all rooms. We have two spacious guest kitchens where you can make your own breakfast (if you don't want it served by us) or cook a nice dinner.
Outside our guest kitchens there is a welcoming patio with a nice garden where there are many plants growing, such as royal iris, sage, lavender, thyme and of course wonderfully fragrant rose bushes. On a hot summer day, the patio smells wonderful. Just as it should be, here in Sweden's Provence!
The hostel is divided into two sections, which means that different parties and groups can rent the hostel. Rent a separate department or the whole house for family reunions, smaller conferences, cycling and hiking groups, running camps or different types of courses. Read more under Tips on our website.
Österlen is a paradise for those who enjoy nature and cultural experiences. Hike the Skåneleden trail, run along the sea or cycle on winding small roads. Take a nice swim at cliffs and long beaches. You can reach us by phone and email most days. Bookings can be made online around the clock. The reception is open from 17-19 during the high season or by appointment. Other times of the year by appointment.
We are normally open from Easter to October
We serve breakfast during the high season from mid-June to the end of August, during public holidays and by arrangement. The breakfast consists largely of organic and locally produced products for a really wonderful start to the day.
We offer linen and towel hire, a made bed on arrival and help with the final cleaning of the room on departure.
Our entrance is located at Råkullavägen 7. The easiest way to find us is to turn into the village at the southern entrance to Brantevik. From there it is well signposted to the hostel. Free parking is available at the hostel or in its vicinity.
